The one below was the last one I'd done and I just wasn't happy with the emerald green stems so unpicked those and replaced them. Now I can live with it.
Note to self, find time to make more of these blocks since I'm enjoying the more modern fabrics.
I also managed to get two more of my circle blocks done. I'm finding it hard to stick to these and I'm behind which is normal for me. I'm not very patient at prepping for hand piecing you see.
Note to self, stop procrastinating on these.
The Vine quilt has been whispering, no, shouting in my ear to get going and draw another panel. It took a few afternoons to do the drawing but as you can see, I'm now starting the stitching. This will be the fifth panel and has about 305 leaves to sew on. I'm loving being back playing with this one.
Note to self, get down to the sewing room and make more leaves.
Note to self, blinkers don't work when on the computer.
Whatever time you have for stitching, have fun with it.

I am finally back online again and your post this morning just jumped off of my new computer screen! So many wonderful photos of such inspiring projects.
The painter's in my sewing room today and my printer is spitting out the new BTCT border pattern as I type this. With all the projects I am dying to return to, you go and tempt me again with the McCord quilt. (And the circle blocks...so much fun!)

You know Janet, I was all prepped and ready to leave a comment about the wonderful applique and the Vine quilt which you know I love but then something stopped me. The words of wisdom really came across strongly today. I'm not sure how much you intend this: "Whatever time you have for stitching, have fun with it." to impact but gosh, it sure is hitting home here. Wish sometimes we could chat over tea. Blinkers definitely don't work when you're on the computer! lol I love the looks of your Currants and Coxcomb block. I can't wait to see it in fabrics. Your cherry tree blocks are wonderful. The polka dot fabric looks so happy.

Your drawing is beautiful; perfectly balanced, which is quite hard considering the swirling asymmetric nature of this design. You do lovely work and I can hardly wait to see this in fabric.

Janet, you BTCT blocks are beautiful. The colors are so fresh and they are a "make you smile" block. Of course, all your other projects are just as great, but you know, we Cherry Tree gals are all a little partial to that quilt. I am going to go and get back to mine right now.

Those blocks for "Beyond the Cherry Trees" are just wonderful. I'm loving the modern fabrics too. And, as always, the vines are magical. It is super cool to watch your progress on them. The circles are gorgeous-- but, oh my gosh, they look labor intensive. I'd be procrastinating too. :P
