The latest blocks

I'm slowing down but I did get another five blocks done for the flower garden quilt.
I'll call this one my monkey flower.
I love how the black and orange one turned out. I figured there would be some darker fabrics in the borders so wanted to get some in the middle section of the quilt.
Lets not forget the pretty pastel blooms. The backgrounds are all the same fabric, it's just photography in different lights that make them look different.
Since my design wall is being occupied at the moment. I had this idea to put them all together in a photo collage to see how mixed and balanced the colours are. Do you think I need a bit more red or maybe something else?

More yellow? But it looks great as is, the flowers are all so yummily gorgeous, something I could stare at for ages but I wouldn't dare try, I'm only on my first quilt and it's an easy peasy one!
Have a great week ahead!

I agree with Liberal Sprinkles .. a touch more yellow to balance out the red/blue/purple palette? This is a beautiful quilt, you should be very proud of these stunning blocks!

Oh I might use the basic design of some of these for Barbs panels (in a more simplified form)
Great work

Janet these are so much fun!!! I love each and every unique piece. I'm absolutely no help when it comes to feedback. You've got plenty of balance there - from here on out - it seems up to your artistic self!!! Gosh, this is just great over coffee. By the way, the collage was a great idea to visualize and display and share!!! Thank you. *karendianne.

I'm thinking that the blocks look well balanced as is, just a little rearranging would do the trick. But then red being my favorite color, the more the merrier LOL.

The new blocks are lovely, especially love the one with the autumn colors.

What a beautiful garden !!! They all look so wonderful together.

Absolutely gorgeous, Janet.

I think all the blocks look stunning together but since you asked *wink*, I would add a little more purple because the block on the top right of the collage of photos does seem to dominate simply because of the size of the flower.

Having said that, it would still receive top marks in my books just the way it is.

I love the fabric variety you have. (And I love the collage tool! It makes it so much easier to see how things look together.) YOu always do a great job on coordinating colors.

WOW... again I am in awe, Janet! I think a bit more red will really make the overall quilt top POP. But even if you don't add red, I think it will still be gorgeous.

Janet I think your flowers are just beautiful and I know the quilt will be stunning. I don't think you have a colour balance problem. The colours are glorious. But if I squint at it two beautiful yellows pop out - I would add a couple more fabrics that pop (is that called value? I'm never sure). Can't wait to see it all together.

I would shuffle the collage a few times and see how the colors balance mixed differently. The way they are currently arranged it is a little "green heavy" on the left side of the middle. I love the look, but it is soft and you might want a little more punch which I think you can accomplish with a tiny bit more red or darker purple. Don't forget the colors will all be mixed into the sashing, too.
