Unfortunately, the bright pink perle cotton bled a little so be aware and plan for the washing with dye catchers if you use the cotton.
I've taken the opportunity to wash a few cushion covers and quilts while here and this bolster cushion I made for one of the grandchildren needed new ribbons.
I quite enjoyed the stitchery on this but I'm sorry, I just can't recall the name of the book I used.

The star quilt is fantastic. I am so glad you remind of the big stitch. I have a Christmas quilt that I might just quilt it with big stitch.
Love the little fairies pillow. So cute.
Beautiful star quilt, I'm loving seeing the talent you have passed on to your family. Thanks for the hint on the cotton thread too. xo
Your DD did a wonderful job on her quilt the patches of color on the white really makes an impact. The little stitchery is so sweet and so is grammy for putting new ribbons on :0)

The bolster is from "Fairyland" by Natalie Bird - I have this book in my hope chest (that one day I'll also be a nanna). The star quilt is beautiful.
The star quilt and the stitchery is just beautiful! I am glad all is well with the new baby.
What a great idea for that smidgen of great fabric that you have been hoarding. Thanks for sharing!

The star quilt is so adoring. How lucky your daughter is to have you as an inspiration and teacher. And that is a beautiful new grandson to make quilts for!

Love the big stitching with perle cotton. I have not tried that yet. I used to hand quilt many moons ago. Lovely quilt. DARLING tea party bolster!!!
Hi Janet
I love the star quilt and the quilted stars are so great! Thanks for telling us about the giveaway. I'm going to check it out right now.
Hugs, Rhondi
I think your daughter is going to be a 'chip off the old block', Janet. Her quilt is wonderful.
I can sense from your posts that you're anxious to get home. Vacations are wonderful but there is truly no place like home.
It sounds like you are doing what you can to stay busy. Thanks for the link to Don't look now. She is an amazing designer!
No Name?! Oh golly, I would think the longer you wait the harder it would be.
Oh, that wonky star quilt is adorable! I get frustrated that I just don't have the time to do as much regular quilting as I love to do and just the other day, I told myself that I'm going to do more big stitch quilting -- I love it!
I love the wonky star quilt -- especially they way they float in the white. And the big stitches look great on it! And that is such a sweet embroidered pillow!!!
