Cross stitch

I have been known to dabble in a little embroidery now and again. I love anything with bees on so this is one that I'll be keeping.
the project is Her Majesty from the booklet By Blackbird designs called Honeybee Hill. I filled it with ground walnuts that has some lavender petals in it so it smells lovely and feels great with the weight in it.
And for the back, I had some lovely bee fabric of course.
The Q is for Queen bee but it could easily be for Quiltsalott. Loving the small ric-rac finish.
Until next time, Janet

  11. I love your embroidery. Let us know how you like the crushed walnut shells. I've heard that they can be sticky like they are treated with something. I prefer emery sand in my pin cushions.

  14. Love your bee! I'm infatuated with bees also and was lucky to get a couple of yards of that bee fabric that will go into some fun projects down the road. I also put lavender in all of my stuffed projects - a fun reminder of summer this time of year and so calming!

  19. Fabulous, Janet! I have done just a little bit of cross-stitch and I really enjoyed it. I think I was using the wrong fabric, though, because it was very difficult to see the threads. I either need better eyes or better fabric!

Do you have any instructions for how you arranged to colors for the watercolor effect. Also for the floral border? I have always wanted a DWR and you have inspired me. 31. The Sig P365 Laser is a purpose-made concealed-carry pistol. It is likewise ... the work of gypsies, as it takes a frame and slide that are either the exact same size or SMALLER than that of the Glock 43 (a single-stack weapon) and also adds 4 rounds to it. Sig Sauer P320 Accessories, As well as it does it in a manner that is more comfortable to hold as well as has a better trigger. So you might take into consideration the Sig 365 for its impossible sorcery of improved ability and hold comfort over all competitors or probably for how it practically enables you to carry an 11-round, 9mm handgun that disappears onto your waist as practically nothing else weapon.
