This is what it looks like when I'm in the throes of the affliction.
Fusing a fabric collage and attempting to channel Laura Wasilowski.
English paper piecing
Hand piecing.
Embellishing with embroidery.
Needle turn applique, last block!
Hand quilting.
All fueled by an unhealthy dose of "death by chocolate", aka hubby's birthday cake.In my defense, variety is the spice of life!
Happy stitching, in whatever form it is.
Janet
So many beautiful creations! Lots of fun happening at your place.
ReplyDeleteAh ha, Janet..."Variety is the spice of life' is my motto.....or so it seems when it comes to my quilting too! I can not have just 1 or 2 or 4 projects going at once.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Hubby!

ReplyDeleteI presume I have a Knitters Attention Deficit Disorder:)
All you projects are beautiful, Janet, keep on going in your QADD!!!
Oh that's what it is called. It seems I have the same affliction and I'm glad to finally know that it has a name. Although looking at all your projects, I'm in awe, again!
ReplyDeleteEven in your condition you still produce beautiful works. Yummy chocolate cake and cream oh ho!
ReplyDeleteHugs

Ahhhhh....is that what this is? So glad to have a diagnosis! Your suffering is lovely though, I must admit! Mine does not always look so organized...maybe a piece of that cake would help?!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteCan I have some cake too.....
You are working on some beautiful creations. I'm afraid I have the same disease - lol!
ReplyDeleteHaha -- you're a true QUILTER!!! I feel your pain. That hand piecing project looks very interesting. Is it like english paper piecing, or simply template piecing. You're always so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteIf that's QADD, I'll have some of that! Your work is so lovely and vibrant!
ReplyDeleteI think I have that too...is there any help?
ReplyDeleteYes, I love the variety!! It also makes me a little crazy sometimes too! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this post!!! Sometimes I feel guilty because I seem to be playing with everything and accomplishing very little. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration, Janet.
Yep, variety is a good thing! LOL Everything looks lovely! :0)
ReplyDeleteQADD...that is hilarious! I definitely have THAT one! All your projects are beautiful and well deserving of your time, how could a person actually choose ONE at a time?!?
ReplyDeleteI heartily approve of your work ethic!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
Now I know what this condition is called and that I am not alone! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah! to the last block in your flower quilt! Variety IS the spice of quilting hehehe. Cake looks delicious, just like your quiting.
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine how anyone on this earth could ever be bored with all that there is to do! QADD is a wonderful condition to have! Your work is gorgeous - all of it. Carol
ReplyDeleteI knew there must be a name for my disorder, but I must admit yours is more productive than mine. I absolutely love all your work!!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can relate!
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky that all of your QADD projects are very pretty. If you tire of one, there's another one in the wings (or in a pile) just waiting.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see that someone else suffers from the same affliction as me. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful projects and for making me feel that I am perfectly "normal"!
ReplyDeleteI say thanks to the disorder --- because we get to enjoy all your lovely projects! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your husband.
With such talent in so many areas, it is not wonder you have this disorder every now and then. I love your work.
ReplyDeleteI have the same affliction, lots of different projects on the go all at once, stops boredom setting in.
ReplyDeleteLove all the beautiful projects you are working on at the moment.
Happy birthday to Mr Quiltsalott.

ReplyDeleteExactly! Hope you and your husband had a fun birthday celebration. I am loving the fussy cutting on those hexagons.
ReplyDeleteWe also suffer from QADD over here at Casa Grande where life is very spicey! Love the fussy cut hexies!
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, variety is the spice of life. Have fun living life to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks like fun. I think Im in a permanent state of QADD
ReplyDeleteA woman after my own heart, it doesn't matter what style it is as long as it's good, we want to do it! (with an exception being hand quilting, I hardly ever do that these days.....)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your current projects!
Amen! Variety is truly the spice of life. And it is important to have something for every mood. :) It is so fun to see all of the varied and wonderful projects you are working on.
ReplyDeleteThen I"m Spicey!

ReplyDeleteI am afflicted by the same disease. Luckily there is no cure, so I can go on with all my various distractions.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you do so many, it's always inspiring to visit and see what you are up to.
Happy Birthday to hubby!
Hey....have you been reading my mail??? HA! I have 5 different projects going right now. One for any type of mood I'm in!!
ReplyDeleteYour projects look just as yummy as that cake!!!
All looks like great fun! Nice to see all your projects, and the cake looks yum-oh! Had a fresh peach milkshake for lunch - best part of summer!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to find that we're not alone in our afflictions. Great work, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I have the same problem.:):) You are not alone. I'm new to blogging and love your blog. Thanks for sharing and giving inspiration. :):) Sandie
ReplyDeleteWell this is fun. Really pretty last block on the needleturn flower. Such luscious fabrics. The embellishment really captured me, too. Is that tiny little stitching in orange at the center of the flower, too? I'm intrigued. (Feeling I need some chocolate, too) This is all so fun - how can I leave out that funtastic hand piecing, ha? Silly me!!!
ReplyDeleteThat chocolate cake looks the spice of life to me. Yum! Congratulations on finishing your last flower block!
ReplyDeleteYep, I have that too! Janet these blocks are amazing. Congrats on your last Flower Garden block, I'm about to start mine!!! xo
ReplyDeleteI just love the golden finch...so sad she won't ship them to the Netherlands... For me they bring me back to some years ago, when I lived in VA...they came to my birdfeather together with the Red cardinals, the woodpeckers, chickedee's,blue Jays blackbirds and the hummingbirds. Here in the Netherlands we don't see those birds. Only house finch, differend red robins and crows...but even you're blackbirds are bigger!
