Baltimore applique style, part 2

One good thing about having a fairly new blog is that I can trot out some older quilts or blocks that I haven't shown before.
Here are a few more of my Baltimore style blocks including this really hard to do basket. One of my favourites with a little bit of reverse applique in the tulips.
And these berries you see are stuffed for dimension.
In the meantime, I've been able to do a little bit of applique with these Princess Feathers from the Kim McLean pattern. This is the third block I'm working on. Oh and go and have a look at Cabbage Quilts, Cathy's new blog if you haven't already. She loves applique and is doing some fabulous colourful quilts.
I hope you all have a great weekend, we are ending daylight savings tonight and are having some social family time so I don't think I'll be doing much sewing with the extra hour with the family commitments.

  1. janet again more delightful applique to feast our eyes on.
Last year I wanted to make the kim Mclean quilt too but it was a bit too pricey at the time. Yours color selection is stunning.
One day you will have to do a virtual tour of how all your quilts are displayed.
    Enjoy your family.

  7. Janet, you've just reminded me of how much I love the Baltimore style of applique. That was the main reason I took an applique class...to learn the different methods of applique in order that I may attempt it one day.

You've succeeded in making my heart beat just a little bit faster, which always seesm to happen when I see the wonderful thing you create and share on your blog.

    Have a super day!
