Here are a few more of my Baltimore style blocks including this really hard to do basket. One of my favourites with a little bit of reverse applique in the tulips.
And these berries you see are stuffed for dimension.
In the meantime, I've been able to do a little bit of applique with these Princess Feathers from the Kim McLean pattern. This is the third block I'm working on. Oh and go and have a look at Cabbage Quilts, Cathy's new blog if you haven't already. She loves applique and is doing some fabulous colourful quilts.

ReplyDeleteLast year I wanted to make the kim Mclean quilt too but it was a bit too pricey at the time. Yours color selection is stunning.
One day you will have to do a virtual tour of how all your quilts are displayed.

Daylight savings ends in NZ tonight as well. The feathers are looking neat! I had forgotten those 'blocks from another centry' they are beautiful.

Janet, you've just reminded me of how much I love the Baltimore style of applique. That was the main reason I took an applique class...to learn the different methods of applique in order that I may attempt it one day.
